Challenge
Manage a terminal shift from train arrival to container release in one system. Dispatchers need train operations, truck arrivals and gates, a yard plan and equipment tasks. Cargo acceptance and client billing need to follow the same workflow, including an outstanding balance check before each container release.
What we built
Dispatcher workstations cover container sessions, rail operations with trains, reconciliation against the KTZ train consist and unloading plans, truck arrivals and gates with entry slots and lane checks, a yard plan with slot suggestions, and equipment and tasks. The management dashboard shows terminal TEU, throughput, railcars exceeding the allowed dwell time, charges and receivables.
Four work screens serve the reach stacker’s in-cab tablet, equipment operator, cargo acceptance clerk and truck driver. The dispatcher sends a task to the tablet. The operator has 30 seconds to respond before it goes to the next available machine. Each task includes the route to the container and any reshuffling moves.
Billing, tariffs and contracts, and data exchange with 1C: regular clients receive invoices and service completion certificates; one-off clients pay in advance. The system checks the outstanding balance before each release. If the credit limit is exceeded, release is blocked, the container is held for payment for 2 hours and the client receives a WhatsApp message. Payment recorded in 1C removes the block.
The yard plan includes a 3D digital twin with over 2,400 containers. Users can switch between the 2D plan and the 3D view in either direction.

Result
The system is in use at the terminal. Dispatch, equipment operations, cargo acceptance and billing share one workflow throughout the shift.
